IF this F-18 sequence does not captivate you... you might not have a PULSE?

BlueWATER

Great color action film of WW2 P-47's

For those you not old enough to remember this is what War looked like in my day. Fly along on a W.W.II bombing run. The following is great footage of a greater plane, the P-47 "Thunderbolt", in action. Don't be fooled by the stubby nose, 'cause, this baby could, like the name of one of the planes, "Haul Ass".

LOOP at takeoff - Navy pilot (UNCLASSIFIED) Holy Cow.... this is amazing footage or actual takeoff that didn't go quite as planned.... AMAZING SAVE by the Pilot. I would say there's nothing about this the pilot enjoys. If he could have ejected at 100' upside down and lived, he would have. Looks like the afterburner kicks in while still Vectored for vertical takeoff. Lockheed would call this a "software malfunction" and do a little more "regressive testing". Good demo of power-to-weight ratio of this aircraft! And stability control. If he didn't come out of the loop Wings-level, probably would have been bad news, maybe taking some of the carrier with him! Flying through your own exhaust can lead to equipment Malfunctions, too! As in "flame out", F-35 is single engine ...unpowered and zero airspeed has aerodynamics Of a Steinway piano. This is the most unbelievable piece Of flying you will ever see in your life. This is how a supremely well-trained US Navy pilot, Ice running in his veins instead of blood, fully Regains control of his $70 million fighter jet, after a Problematic vertical takeoff attempt. Watch as the rear Vertical thruster fires to cause the problem. Bet the crew on deck had to change their pants after this happened.

Wow talk about Aerobatics!

Until just a few years ago, airplanes physically could not do what you will see this one do. It is still hard to believe when you see this in person. This is all real and there is no trick photography. Not only is the airplane unbelievable but the pilot is also taking g-forces between about +8 and -4. The airplane is an Edge 540 manufactured in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The engine is 540 cu. inches, 10.5:1 compression ratio, has a Cold Air induction System and is fuel injected ... engine preparation done by Barrett Precision Engines. It makes 320 BHP @ 2850 RPM and weighs 385 lbs. The airplane can fly inverted until it runs out of gas. The pilot is Kirby Chambliss, a Red Bull pilot and Captain for Southwest Airlines.
